Dime for Time Campaign

Every time you stay with us from January 1 – October 31, 2010, we’ll pledge a dime to benefit the American Cancer Society for breast cancer awareness and research programs. But we’ll make it even more fun! If you have stayed with us once before, we will double the dime. If you have visited us 20 times, the dime will be multiplied by 20. In fact, we’ll pledge a dime for EVERY time you have stayed with us in the 32 years since we’ve owned the inn. After three decades that’s a lot of guests!

We created the campaign in honor of Bev’s sister, who died of breast cancer. One of the most meaningful wishes a breast cancer survivor has is for time; time to spend with their families and time to enjoy the rest of their lives. This campaign will allow Captain Lord Mansion and its guests to contribute throughout 2010, allowing each person to make a difference, or to honor someone they know who has been touched by breast cancer.

The Dime for Time Campaign culminates the weekend before Thanksgiving 2010 when breast cancer survivors will be offered a complimentary two-night stay at the Inn. Those wishing to be considered for free stays can register in September 2010 on the Captain Lord Mansion Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/captainlordmansion?ref=ts) and must also send an email to innkeeper@captainlord.com confirming their registration. Each breast cancer survivor who is selected for the visit will receive a complimentary two-night stay, chair massages and attendance at a reception where Bev and Rick will present a check to the American Cancer Society.
